Nossus World
General History
Nossus is a world created by Layla and Amelia that turned out to be more real than they thought. Maps of Nossus only show the main continent, so whatever is beyond its shores is a mystery. The dominant species on the continent are the Kotar, horned people. The Northlands are ruled by the Royal Family and led by the King, while the south is occupied by the Southern Court and its rogue nobles. The two sides have been feuding for centuries over the Castle in the Northlands, a sentient building that both groups view as the holy ground where their Creator left the world, as well as the source of the Royal Family's power.
In their stories, Layla and Amelia acted as knights and defended the Royal Family from the Southern Court. In the real Nossus Layla is summoned by the Royal Family to help save their princess.
Creatures
Kotar
Except for their horns, the Kotar look like regular humans. Some have magical abilities, mostly dealing with the earth which they worship. The ruling King or Queen is usually the most powerful as long as they are in range of the Castle; they are the only ones who can manipulate the stone and earth in the area.
Kinderen
The Kinderen are said to be the dead spirits of the gods that used to inhabit the continent. The Kotar generally view them as evil and tell stories of the Kinderen possessing the bodies of the living.
